Reservations Policy
On several occasions
the club has incurred losses due to members who had made reservations without
paying, and then not showing up for the event.
When you are making a
reservation for an event, we ask that you make a reservation with, and send a
check to our reservations director .
It has happened that
some members made reservations, without sending a check, and then don't show up.
Your Board would like
to point out that as a result of reservations, commitments are being made by the
Club. In other words, if you make a reservation for the Queen's Ball for two
people without sending a check, and do not show up, the Club is still
responsible for paying $35 for each member who did not come ($25 paid by member,
plus $10 additional which the Club paid for each member.) This is a loss
of $70 for your Club.
It has been decided
for future events, that unless your reservation is accompanied or immediately
followed by a check, no
reservation will be made.
In other words, if
there is NO check, there is NO reservation.
Please ensure the timely receipt of the check; commitments will only be made
based on the checks received. If your check is received after the deadline, a
$10 late fee will be assessed to your reservation.
In case you have made a
paid reservation and are then prevented from coming, the club will refund your
money, provided
the Reservations Chair receives the notification of cancellation before
the commitment is made.
